Make a meaningful difference as a Special Education Teacher providing virtual support to a unique student in a school setting. In this rewarding contract opportunity, you’ll deliver specially designed instruction for a 5th grade male student on a 1:1 basis. Your support will help bridge the gap until a long-term placement is finalized. The assignment is expected to last from several weeks up to a month, with an adaptable schedule to fit your needs and those of the student.
Key Qualifications:
- Active teaching certification in Special Education
- Proven experience working in K-12 settings, preferably with individualized or small-group instruction
- Comfortable with remote learning platforms and virtual teaching tools
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with families and school staff
- Ability to adapt strategies to meet an individual student’s learning goals
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide approximately 2 hours of direct virtual special education instruction weekly
- Incorporate strategies tailored to the academic, social, and emotional needs of the student
- Maintain communication with other service providers and contribute to the student’s overall programming
- Complete necessary documentation and report progress for indirect service time as needed
- Collaborate with district contacts to adjust the plan according to evolving student placement timelines
