Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' communication needs in a school-based setting near Pittsfield, MA. An experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide essential services from Pre-K through 12th grade. This role is full time, with hours from 8:25am to 3:10pm, and the anticipated caseload is approximately 30-40 students, with exact numbers to be finalized.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Massachusetts
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience working in school settings or with children and adolescents
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
- Skilled in evaluating, diagnosing, and providing therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Flexibility to support a diverse age range, from early learners to high school seniors
- Excellent organizational and documentation abilities
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ speech and language abilities, developing individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed
- Deliver therapy and interventions targeting articulation, language, fluency, and more
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other support professionals
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Communicate effectively with caregivers and staff about strategies and progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations and expertise
- Support a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
