Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education Case Manager/Coordinator position is available to support K-12 students in a full-time, contract role for the 2025/2026 school year in Barre, Vermont. This role focuses on coordinating special education services and ensuring compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for approximately 45 students across two grade levels. The position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a deep understanding of Vermont special education regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary case manager for around 45 students, managing their special education needs and services
  • Coordinate and lead IEP meetings, evaluations, and re-evaluations in accordance with regulatory timelines
  • Develop, write, and maintain compliant IEPs while tracking student progress and ensuring timely updates
  • Collaborate regularly with a core team of teachers, service providers, and related staff to support students' goals
  • Maintain consistent weekly communication with staff and families regarding student progress and any concerns
  • Analyze academic and behavioral data to inform IEP development and instructional decisions
  • Support the school team in implementing accommodations and modifications required by the IEPs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid Vermont Special Educator licensure with experience in special education case management and coordination
  • Proven expertise in IEP writing, compliance monitoring, and coordinating services across multiple students
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with educators, families, and service providers
  • Previous virtual VT SPED case management/coordinator experience highly preferred

Location: Barre, VT
Schedule: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
Duration: Contract through June 19, 2026, following the school calendar
