Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department travel position in Manchester, NH, requiring at least 2 years of ED experience and active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

  • Hospital Emergency Department setting located in Manchester, NH
  • \n

  • ED unit features 25 procedure rooms, 4 psychiatric annex beds (secured), and 8 hallway beds utilized 24/7
  • \n

  • Patient population includes complex multi-comorbidity cases, advanced cardiac conditions, DKA, sepsis, trauma, stroke, and psychiatric patients
  • \n

  • Patient ratio is 4:1, with flexibility during acute surge periods
  • \n

  • Procedures include trauma care, stroke care, laceration repair, orthopedic trauma, ultrasound-guided IV insertion, IO insertion, eye exams, EKGs, and psychiatric and cardiopulmonary care
  • \n

  • Equipment used includes ultrasound for IV access, Lucas Device, Hotline Rapid Infuser, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis
  • \n

  • EMR system is Sunrise/Allscripts
  • \n

  • Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
  • \n

  • 12-week contract
  • \n

  • Every other weekend required for travel RNs
  • \n

  • No floating required
  • \n

Requirements\n

    \n
  • Active NH or compact RN license required
  • \n

  • Active certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC — certifications from AHA or ARC accepted; none may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
  • \n

  • CPI certification required (SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA may be accepted in lieu of CPI)
  • \n

  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for ED RNs
  • \n

  • Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience required
  • \n

  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills required
  • \n

  • SSN (US only) and date of birth required for consideration
  • \n

  • One professional reference required
  • \n

Additional Information\n

    \n
  • RNs work under protocol-driven workflows based on chief complaint, with the ability to initiate labs, EKGs, imaging, and medications as part of initial patient care
  • \n

  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible, no exceptions
  • \n

  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • \n

  • Scrubs required; hooded shirts and sweatshirts are not permitted for safety reasons
  • \n

  • Strong candidates will demonstrate adaptability, dependability, punctuality, and a genuine commitment to patient care
  • \n

  • EKG interpretation experience is preferred
  • \n
