Unit Overview:The unit features 19 beds with a typical patient-to-nurse ratio around 6:1, adapting to census needs. Staff is experienced and collaborative, including RNs, CNAs, and sitters, working day and night shifts. Equipment includes mechanical lifts, Sara Steady, Baxter, and Kangaroo pumps, supported by Meditech EMR software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled rehabilitation and medical-surgical nursing care
- Administer IV therapies and monitor patient progress
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain comprehensive documentation using Meditech EMR
- Adhere to unit policies and protocols to ensure patient safety and care quality
Desired Qualifications:
- Current RN license with Rehab and Med-Surg experience (mandatory)
- IV therapy proficiency (required)
- Experience with wound care, stroke, or TBI patients preferred
- BLS certification (required)
- Strong flexibility, kindness, and thoroughness in patient care approach
Schedule:
- Every other weekend coverage
- Potential floating to CCU, Med-Surg, or ER as needed
