Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting special education at the high school level. An immediate opportunity is available for an enthusiastic Special Education Teacher who will also serve as a Case Manager for a local school near Dover, NH. This part-time, contract position offers the chance to work 2-3 days each week, providing flexibility and meaningful professional engagement.
In this role, you’ll be directly involved in supporting a kindergarten-aged student within a high school setting. You’ll collaborate closely with other educators, families, and service providers to create and implement individualized education plans that foster growth and success. Your expertise will help ensure each student receives the tailored support they deserve.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification or eligibility as a Special Education Teacher
- Previous special education classroom or resource experience preferred
- Experience or comfort working as a Case Manager
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage IEPs and provide direct instruction to assigned students
- Coordinate and communicate with general education staff and related service providers
- Track academic and behavioral progress, documenting as required
- Adapt lessons and strategies to meet individual student needs
- Participate in team meetings and support transition planning
