GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT
Full-Time | Construction Management
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to oversee multiple construction superintendents and active job sites across our projects. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring consistency in field operations, safety compliance, scheduling, quality control, and overall project execution across all assigned sites.
The ideal candidate is a strong field leader with extensive construction management experience, the ability to mentor and direct site superintendents, and a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
· Oversee and support multiple superintendents across various construction sites
· Ensure all projects maintain company standards for safety, quality, scheduling, and productivity
· Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and progress reviews
· Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and field leadership teams
· Assist superintendents with problem-solving, scheduling conflicts, manpower planning, and site logistics
· Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and contract requirements
· Monitor project progress and proactively address delays or operational issues
· Lead field coordination meetings and provide ongoing leadership to site teams
· Maintain communication between field operations and executive/project management teams
· Mentor and develop superintendents, foremen, and field staff
Qualifications
· 3-5 years of construction supervision experience
· Previous experience managing multiple superintendents and projects simultaneously
· Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction methods and sequencing
· Proven leadership and team management skills
· Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
· Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and construction regulations
· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
· Valid driver’s license required
· OSHA 30 Certification required
· Construction Supervisor’s License (CSL) required
Preferred Qualifications
· Home Improvement Contractor’s License (HIC)
· Experience with Buildertrend or similar construction management software
· Commercial and/or multifamily construction experience
· Strong scheduling and operational management background
