Start a fulfilling contract role supporting students in a school setting near Gilford, NH! Two full-time paraprofessional opportunities are available: one at the elementary level and another at the middle school level. Help students thrive by providing individual support and making a difference every day.
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Must possess a valid NH Paraeducator I or II certification
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional is highly preferred, though not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in the success of students
- Ability to support students with behavioral or engagement needs
Role Details & Responsibilities
- Elementary assignment: Work 1:1 with a student who benefits from support with regulation and task engagement (no toileting involved)
- Schedule: 8:00am – 2:30pm, 32.5 hours/week, ASAP through June 17, 2027
- Setting: Newfound Elementary (Bristol, NH)
- Middle school assignment: Provide direct support to a student with a structured behavioral plan (no toileting involved)
- Schedule: 8:00am – 2:40pm, 33.5 hours/week, ASAP through June 17, 2027
- Setting: Newfound Regional Middle School
- Build positive relationships to encourage student participation and independence
- Implement strategies designed by educational and behavioral specialists
- Communicate daily progress and concerns to other staff as needed
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment
