About the Role
Family Eye Care Center & Optical Gallery is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and compassionate Full-Time Ophthalmic Technician to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with patients in a fast-paced medical environment. Ophthalmic Technicians work closely with our doctors and clinical staff to provide exceptional patient care using advanced ophthalmic technology and diagnostic equipment.
Prior ophthalmic, optometric, or medical office experience is strongly preferred, but we are willing to train highly motivated individuals interested in building a long-term career in eye care.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Obtain medical histories and document patient information
- Perform diagnostic testing and imaging
- Assist doctors during patient visits and procedures
- Scribe for ophthalmologists during examinations
- Educate patients regarding medications, treatments, and instruction
- Refill prescriptions and assist with patient communication
- Triage patient calls and clinical concerns
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Coordinate with doctors, technicians, optical staff, and administrative teams
- Provide patients with a professional, efficient, and positive experience

- Interest in healthcare and patient care
- Ability to learn and work with advanced medical technology
- Prior ophthalmic technician, optometric, or medical experience preferred
- Scribing or diagnostic testing experience is a plus
