Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – PRN

$35–$40/hour | PRN
Stern Therapy Consultants is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant at Pleasant Valley in Derry, NH. Work with skilled nursing residents as they rebuild mobility after illness, injury, or hospitalization, providing treatment that connects their physical therapy goals with everyday movement.
What You'll Do

Deliver skilled interventions within the plan of care established by the supervising Physical Therapist.

Guide residents through prescribed strengthening, balance, and endurance exercises.

Practice getting in and out of bed, standing, transferring, and walking with assistance suited to each resident.

Reinforce proper use of mobility devices and safety techniques outlined by the PT.

Monitor fatigue, discomfort, and functional performance, reporting relevant changes to the supervising therapist.

Document treatment and resident responses, sharing mobility guidance with nursing and rehabilitation colleagues.

Qualifications

Active New Hampshire Physical Therapist Assistant license.

Ability to follow individualized treatment plans and medical precautions.

Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills.

Skilled nursing experience is helpful; new graduates are welcome to apply.
