Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid certification in Adaptive Physical Education
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong understanding of diverse student needs and modifications
- Ability to create and adapt lesson plans for individual and group instruction
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and encouraging environment
Your Role:
- Develop and deliver adaptive physical education programming tailored to students’ abilities
- Assess student skills to design individualized physical education goals
- Collaborate with educational teams to integrate adaptive PE services into students’ IEPs
- Monitor and document student progress, providing insights and updates to staff and families
- Advocate for accessible activities and foster a positive, supportive atmosphere
- Encourage participation and motivate students through creative and safe activities
