Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A part-time nursing professional is needed to provide dedicated 1:1 care for a preschool student with complex medical needs, including management of an NG tube and seizure monitoring. This role is based in an elementary school setting in Dover, NH, and will primarily support the student on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from approximately 8:00 to 11:00 am.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering skilled nursing care tailored to the medical complexities of the student
- Assisting with feeding and medication administration via NG tube
- Monitoring and managing seizure activity with vigilance and prompt intervention
- Potentially accompanying the student on the school bus to ensure safety during transit
- Collaborating with educators and caregivers to support the student's health and educational goals
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in New Hampshire is strongly preferred
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) candidates may be considered based on district interview
- Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing with medically complex children
- Ability to work independently and maintain professional communication with the school team
- Willingness to commit to the contract duration ending June 15, 2026
This contract position is anticipated to start mid-February, pending receipt of required medical equipment and documentation. The nurse will work part-time during the school year with set hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
