Make a direct impact on K-5 students by supporting their academic and emotional growth as a full-time School Psychologist. This contract opportunity offers a chance to work collaboratively across two elementary schools situated in a welcoming community near Needham, MA. Your expertise will play a vital role in assessing student needs, planning interventions, and partnering with educators and families to foster a positive learning environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
- Valid School Psychologist credential in Massachusetts
- Experience working with elementary (K-5) populations preferred
- Thorough understanding of behavioral interventions, psychoeducational assessments, and IEP development
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative psychological services for students in grades K-5 across two elementary campuses
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies and interventions that support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans
- Offer crisis intervention and counseling as needed to support student well-being
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and confidential documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
