Responsibilities\n
- \n
- Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Scrub and support procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, and peripheral vascular interventions
- Prepare and maintain Cath Lab equipment and supplies
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and assist with patient care
- Operate specialized imaging and diagnostic equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation and procedural records

Qualifications\n
- \n
- Minimum 1 Year of Cardiac Cath Lab Experience Preferred
- Graduate of a CAAHEP or ASCP/SCP Accredited Program Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, or Related Field Preferred
- ACLS Required
- PALS Required if required by facility
- BLS/CPR Certification Required
- Ability to wear lead protection during procedures
- Strong knowledge of cardiac and vascular interventions

Assists physicians with diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias in the Cath/EP Lab. Specializes in the care of patients undergoing PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement, EP devices and ablations. The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist functions as a technical resource and provides scrub assistance to cardiologists in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

- Graduate of CCAHEP or ASCP/SCP accredited program preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred in biology, anatomy, physiology, or a related field • At least 1 year of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab preferred.
- ACLS/PALS per contract requirements.
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
