A long-established dental practice in Marblehead, MA now under new ownership and continuing our commitment to quality patient care in the community. We're looking for a reliable and professional Dental Hygienist to join our team 3 days per week to start, with the potential to add days in the future.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial dental assessments and prepare patient for dental examinations.
  • Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride treatment, and sealant application.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as required.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene strategies to maintain healthy teeth and gums.
  • Record and maintain accurate patient dental histories and documentation.
  • Implement appropriate infection control procedures and maintain hygiene equipment.
  • Collaborate with dentists to plan and provide effective patient treatment plans.
  • Monitor and ensure patient comfort during dental procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings and training opportunities to enhance skills and stay updated with the latest practices in dental hygiene.
  • Assist in the management of medical and dental emergencies.
  • Provide supportive and compassionate care to patients, ensuring a positive dental visit experience.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or higher in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental office setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in using dental technology and computer systems.
  • Strong understanding of dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and oral anatomical structures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Committed to continuous education and training in dental practice.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality care.
