Step into a rewarding educational setting assisting elementary students as a Paraprofessional in a contract position starting as soon as possible. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to provide vital classroom support, helping students thrive during a period of staff absence. This opportunity offers 30 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, working closely with a dedicated student caseload.
Desired Qualifications:
- Paraprofessional experience in an elementary school environment
- Relevant credentials/certifications for paraprofessionals (as required by state or district regulations)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with classroom teachers and multidisciplinary teams
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting children’s learning
- Previous experience supporting students with learning or behavioral needs is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans under teacher supervision
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to elementary students
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom atmosphere
- Monitor and document student engagement and progress
- Collaborate closely with lead teachers and school staff
- Support students with daily classroom routines and activities
- Help manage classroom behavior and ensure students’ wellbeing
