Job Title: Quality Technician
Job Description
The Quality Technician is responsible for performing quality audits of the facility and processes, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This role supports work order management and assists with microbiology preparation, testing, and the release of samples. The technician will also help with routine support tasks such as sampling, checks, and documentation as directed by the QA Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality audits of the facility and processes, adhering to GMP guidelines.
- Support work order management processes.
- Assist in microbiology preparation, testing, and release of samples.
- Conduct routine support tasks including sampling, checks, and documentation as assigned.
- Follow GMP/GLP guidelines consistently.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in food chemistry, quality assurance, and quality control testing.
- Experience with sample and media preparation for QA testing.
- Knowledge of food science and microbiology testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience working in a food manufacturing environment.
- Associate's degree or 0-1 years of experience with a high school diploma in a manufacturing or food manufacturing setting.
Work Environment
The role requires working onsite as part of a team of 10 individuals, reporting to the QA Supervisor. The position is on the 3rd shift, from 12:00 am to 8:30 am, and may require occasional weekend work depending on sample volume. The individual will gain valuable lab experience and take charge of final sign-offs on all goods before dispatch.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ayer, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
