Make a meaningful difference as a virtual Special Education Teacher, providing essential instruction for a 5th-grade student in a supportive and flexible contract opportunity. You'll collaborate with an engaged district team to ensure continuity of education until a new placement is arranged—anticipated to last from a couple of weeks to about a month, subject to change.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials
- Demonstrated experience delivering specially designed instruction in an online or virtual setting
- Ability to work effectively one-on-one with elementary-aged students
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Tech-savvy, with reliable internet connectivity and familiarity with virtual education tools
- Capable of collaborating with families, service providers, and district staff as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide two hours per week of direct, virtual instruction tailored to student learning needs
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with support teams
- Allow for indirect service time to support planning, reporting, or consultation
- Adapt instructional strategies to ensure the student’s goals and IEP requirements are fully supported
- Coordinate with the district to adjust scheduling and service delivery, as needed, for both the student and the broader educational team
