We’re seeking long-term substitute teachers for two immediate openings: one for middle grades, and another serving PreK-5. You'll be stepping into vital roles, guiding students from now until the end of the current school year. Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Demonstrated, trauma-informed teaching experience
- Experience supporting either middle grades or PreK-5 students
- Ability to adapt strategies to individual student needs
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, families, and support teams
- Commitment to positive classroom management and inclusive practices
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and interventions aligned with each student’s IEP
- Implement trauma-informed practices that create a safe, supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary education teams to adjust supports and monitor student progress
- Regularly communicate with families and fellow educators regarding student growth and needs
- Document student progress, behavioral observations, and interventions thoroughly
- Foster a classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to reach their fullest potential
