An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Special Education Teacher to provide essential services to high school students in grades 9-12. Situated near Taunton, MA in Mansfield, this contract position runs full time from October through December 2026. The selected educator will be responsible for supporting a diverse caseload, collaborating with faculty, and fostering a positive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Massachusetts Special Education Teacher license required
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Previous experience teaching or supporting high school students with varying needs
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, accommodations, and modifications
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a classroom, develop lesson plans, and track student progress
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students in grades 9-12, adapting lessons as needed
- Develop, implement, and assess Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and school activities as required
