Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Behavior Specialist position is available for the 2025-2026 school year, serving K-12 students in an in-person setting. The role focuses on supporting students across multiple elementary and middle schools within the district.
Location: Barre, VT
Duration: Contract through June 19, 2026 (tentative, aligned with the school calendar)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior assessment and intervention plans for students in elementary and middle school settings
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student behavioral goals
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed to ensure positive outcomes
- Provide training and guidance to school staff regarding behavior management and best practices
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in a related field preferred; candidates with other educational backgrounds and at least two years of relevant experience will also be considered
- Must meet state credential requirements
- Relevant experience in behavior analysis or related roles within school environments is highly valued
- Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is desirable but not mandatory
