Special Education Teacher – Pittsfield, MA
Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Position Type: Full-Time / Contract (School-Based)

Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to support students in school-based settings in Pittsfield, MA. This role involves working with students across a variety of grade levels and abilities, providing individualized instruction, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to help students reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Provide direct instruction tailored to students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Modify curriculum and classroom environment to support diverse learners
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team meetings
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Active Massachusetts Special Education Teaching License (or ability to obtain)
- Experience working in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs
