**Job Overview
**
We are seeking a Miller / Compounder to join our manufacturing team in Taunton, MA. This role is responsible for operating mixing, blending, screening, and milling equipment to produce high-quality materials according to customer specifications and company procedures. The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to safely operate industrial equipment in a production environment.
**Key Responsibilities
**

Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent operation.

Record production data, operational information, and quality details accurately on required forms.

Measure and weigh raw materials according to production formulas and work orders.

Perform mixing and compound blending processes to produce master batches.

Start and monitor mixing equipment while ensuring proper blend times and material consistency.

Transfer finished materials into containers, properly label batches, and prepare samples for Quality Control testing.

Perform machine cleanouts between production runs to prevent contamination.

Operate screening equipment to remove impurities and ensure product specifications are met.

Monitor material flow, adjust machine settings, and verify weight and quality requirements.

Perform milling operations by processing materials through rolling cylinders to create finished sheets.

Inspect materials visually and physically to ensure compliance with established quality standards.

Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify causes of operational problems.

Perform routine equipment maintenance and report issues when needed.

Follow all workplace safety guidelines, company policies, and required PPE procedures.
**Qualifications
**

Previous manufacturing or production experience required.

Experience operating industrial machinery preferred.

Ability to accurately measure, weigh, and handle production materials.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and work instructions.

Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical production tasks.

Must follow all safety requirements and use required personal protective equipment.
**Preferred Experience
**

Mixing / blending experience
-
Compounder, mill operator, machine operator, or production operator background

Experience working in plastics, rubber, chemical, or materials manufacturing environments
**Physical Requirements
