Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Cardiac Medical Unit – New Hampshire
Start Date: February 9, 2026
Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend, or four-week rotation options
Highlights:
- 20-bed Cardiac Medical Unit specializing in cardiac step-down, med/surg telemetry, and stroke overflow
- 5:1 patient ratio with strong team support including charge nurse, LNAs, and unit clerk
- Diverse case mix including CHF, COPD cardiac management, chest tubes, high-flow oxygen and BiPap, thoracentesis, peritoneal dialysis, tracheostomies, pacemakers, cardiac catheterization, and CIWA protocols
- Meditech Expanse electronic medical record system
- Facility designated as STEMI Hospital, Stroke Center, and Level II Trauma Center
- Bedside shift rounds and handoff for enhanced patient experience
Requirements:
- Active RN license
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring is essential
- Experience with cardiac step-down or progressive care strongly preferred
- Ability to manage high-acuity cardiac and medical patients
