A registered nurse with emergency room experience is sought for an 8-hour shift schedule in Greenfield, MA. This contract assignment offers the opportunity to provide critical care in a dynamic ER setting where clinical skills, rapid decision-making, and compassionate patient interaction are essential.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current RN licensure with active registration to practice in Massachusetts
- Proven experience working in an emergency room environment
- Ability to handle high-acuity patients and multitask effectively under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compliance with all state licensing requirements, including a Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License if applicable
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver urgent nursing care for emergency patients
- Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members
- Administer medications, treatments, and monitor patient status continuously
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records
- Follow established protocols to ensure patient safety and quality care standards
Location:Greenfield, MA is a vibrant community known for its charming downtown, rich history, and access to outdoor recreational activities including hiking and river sports. Situated within a scenic region of western Massachusetts, it provides a welcoming environment both professionally and personally.
Additional Details:
- The assignment is contract-based; block scheduling and 48-hour greater than time are not available
- Personal scrubs of any color are acceptable attire
- Orientation includes 8 hours non-billable time
- Holiday and overtime shifts receive premium multiplier pay
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible to apply
- Interview availability and requested time off during the assignment must be provided upfront
- The Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License is mandatory for consideration
