Medical Pancreatologist

Our organization’s Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Endoscopy is in search of a board-certified Gastroenterologist who specializes in medical pancreatology. We are looking for individuals who are passionately dedicated to providing clinical care for patients suffering from pancreatic conditions, such as acute and chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic cystic lesions, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, and pancreatic cancer. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in enhancing multidisciplinary care, working closely with professionals in gastroenterology, pancreatic surgery, radiology, oncology, pathology, nutrition, and genetics. The position may offer an academic title of Instructor in Medicine or Assistant Professor of Medicine at a prestigious medical school, with compensation reflecting the candidate's qualifications and experience. This role will primarily focus on clinical responsibilities, while also allowing for involvement in clinical, translational, and outcomes-based research related to pancreatic diseases. The selected candidate will help expand multidisciplinary pancreatic disease programs throughout our healthcare system.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care

• Deliver expert consultations in medical pancreatology.

• Engage in multidisciplinary pancreatic disease programs and conferences.

• Assist in the assessment and management of complex pancreatic disorders across the healthcare network.

Research and Scholarly Activity

• Take part in collaborative clinical, translational, and outcomes research projects focused on pancreatic diseases.

• Contribute to both ongoing and new multidisciplinary research initiatives.

• Explore opportunities for developing investigator-initiated research that aligns with divisional goals.

Education and Mentorship

• Engage in educational activities for fellows, residents, and medical students associated with a leading medical school.

• Participate in teaching conferences, courses, and workshops.

• Provide mentorship to trainees and junior researchers, including postdoctoral fellows and graduate students, as appropriate.
