Summary
Your job will be to oversee upkeep and repairs to the building infrastructure and related support systems. This role will also assist in the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance of all building related infrastructure.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for managing and maintaining the physical infrastructure and operational needs of the company's facilities, including building maintenance, vendor management, security, health & safety compliance, and employee services.
What you'll do
- Responsible for daily communication of all pertinent information regarding building infrastructure, systems operation and maintenance to departmental management and maintenance teams.
- Complete weekly preventative maintenance according to established schedules; inspections and maintenance tasks on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely.
- Liaising with building occupants, property managers, and external contractors to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure effective communication regarding monitoring, troubleshooting, repair inquiries.
- Perform tasks to a high-quality standard in assigned trades, including but not limited to: carpeting, painting, drywall repair, basic plumbing and general facility maintenance.
- Responsible for daily cleanup of maintenance areas, rooms, and all project areas.
- Assist sub-contractors and manager/supervisor with Building, HVAC, and Electrical systems including monitoring, troubleshooting, repairs, and tracking.
- Keeping detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and future reference.
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
What you'll need
- 2 or more years of experience in Building or Electrical Maintenance.
- 2 or more years of experience in General Maintenance.
- Valid Driver's license and personal transportation. May be required to drive a box truck between facilities and for supply runs.
- Medical clearance card for authorizing you as capable of driving a box truck will be required.
Our Environment
- Local daily travel may be required up to 10% of the time. Employee must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
- The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is routinely required to work at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must comply with all safety requirements and protocols, including without limitation Lock out tag out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols.
