Position Title: Ultrasound Technologist – General (Radiology)
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Job Type: Contract (Local or Travel)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift Schedule
Multiple day shifts available:
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Rotating weekends required
Position Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound technology. The role involves supporting physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and accurate imaging results.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general ultrasound examinations including abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and small parts studies
- Prepare patients and clearly explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain clear and diagnostic-quality images
- Review and document imaging results and assist physicians with preliminary observations
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of ultrasound equipment; report any issues
- Follow infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams for coordinated patient care
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Strong knowledge of sonography principles and clinical practices
- Hands-on experience in general ultrasound procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Certifications Required
- ARDMS Certification (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications such as RDMS, RVT, or other specialty credentials
- Experience across multiple ultrasound specialties (e.g., vascular, OB/GYN)
