Job Details:

• Work in a brand new stepdown unit expected to open and accept patients by March 8, 2026
\n• Maintain 1:3 patient ratio with 12-bed unit and average daily census of 11 patients
\n• Every other weekend requirement with 6 weekend shifts per contract
\n• 36-hour orientation provided
\n• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
\n• Travel nursing experience required - first-time travelers not accepted
\n• Epic charting system experience required
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
\n• Any color scrubs permitted
\n• Float to ICU and ED for helping hands support using team nursing approach
\n• Care for patients with respiratory failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, sepsis, post-surgical care, stable single organ trauma, and stroke
\n• Perform arterial/central line management, telemetry monitoring, BiPAP/high flow oxygen, epicardial wire management, and chest tube care
\n• Work with specialized equipment including patient lifts, noninvasive fluid management systems, air taps, and telemetry monitoring
\n• Use Omnicell medication system, Epic documentation, and SBAR communication protocols
\n• Must be flexible and adaptable as this is a new unit with potential startup challenges
