At Canine Clips Salon in Marlborough, MA, we are hiring a hybrid Front Desk Coordinator & Grooming Assistant. This position offers a base hourly pay plus tips earned when you bathe or assist with grooming, with both full-time and part-time shifts available.

Role Summary
You will keep our busy Marlborough salon running smoothly by splitting your time between the front desk and the grooming area. You are the first face our clients see, and the extra set of hands our groomers rely on.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Customer Care
- Client Service: Greet human and canine clients warmly. Answer phone calls and respond to messages.
- Scheduling: Book and manage appointments efficiently using our scheduling system. Proactively encourage clients to rebook at pickup.
- Payments: Check clients out, process credit card and cash payments, and manage front desk paperwork.
Bathing & Grooming Assistance
- Bathing & Drying: Bathe, condition, and thoroughly blow-dry dogs of all sizes and breeds according to groomer instructions.
- Prep Work: Brush out coats, clean ears, trim nails, and express glands safely.
- Pet Safety: Safely handle, lift, and restrain dogs during bathing and grooming processes.
Salon Upkeep
- Cleanliness: Clean and sanitize tubs, grooming tables, and kennels between dogs. Sweep up hair, mop floors, and keep the lobby tidy.
- Laundry: Keep up with towel washing and drying throughout the day.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Previous customer service or animal handling experience preferred, but we will train the right candidate who has a passion for dogs.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, handle wet conditions, and safely lift dogs up to 50 lbs.
- Communication: Friendly, patient, and able to multitask in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
