**Join Our Dynamic Intensive Care Team!** **Job Description:** - **Unit Information:** - Total Beds: 20 - Patient Population: Mixed medical and surgical ICU - Patient Ratios: Variable based on acuity - ECMO: 2:1 - Post open-heart surgery: 1:1 - Critical ICU/devices patient: 1:1 - Typical ICU assignment: 1:2 - Stepdown assignment: 1:3-4 - **Staffing:** - Day Shift: - 1 Charge Nurse - 8-10 RNs - 1-3 LNAs - Sitter as needed - Night Shift: - 1 Charge Nurse - 8-10 RNs - 1-3 LNAs - Sitter as needed - **Essential Equipment:** - IV pumps - Telemetry monitors - Hoyer/stand lifts - Impella, IABP - CRRT (NxStage) - Bladder scanner - Bair hugger, rapid transfuser, Blanketrol (warming and cooling) - Chest tubes, vein finder - Sorin retransfuser post-cardiac surgery - Ventilators, high flow nasal cannula - BiPAP/CPAP - **Electronic Medical Record (EMR):** - Sunrise - **Typical Procedures:** - Pericardiocentesis with drains - Thoracentesis - Central line insertion - Arterial line insertion - Chest tube insertion - Intubation - TEE cardioversion, TTE - Transvenous pacing wire insertion - **Ideal Candidate Profile:** - Must have: - Telemetry experience - Ideally PCU or greater background - Preferred skills: - Experience with critical drips and ventilators - Prior ICU experience - **Personality Traits:** - Organized yet adaptable - **Required Certifications:** - ACLS - BLS - **Unit Guidelines/Policies:** - Friendly and supportive atmosphere - **Schedule:** - Every third weekend - No on-call responsibilities **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
