Job Title: Construction Administration / Project Manager
Position Location: Boston
Approx. Length of Position: Direct Hire
Degree Required: Bachelors or Master's degree of Architecture
We are seeking an experienced Architect to support the construction administration of a large, multi-building affordable housing development. The role will focus primarily on CA responsibilities for this project including coordination with consultants, contractors, and the project team. Candidates should have 10+ years of post-graduate experience, be registered in Massachusetts, and have at least five years of construction administration experience as a Project Architect. In addition to CA duties, the role will assist with the management of small- to mid-size projects as needed. The successful candidate would be expected to assist with managing small and mid-size projects alongside their construction administration duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to generate timely field reports
- Ability to review and manage construction submittals
- Ability to generate and review Supplemental Instructions and respond to RFIs in a timely manner
- Ability to act as Project Manager, including ability to manage project schedule and budget for mid-size projects
- Ability to manage administrative side of projects including contracts and invoicing
- Ability to act as Project Architect, including ability to manage project quality, coordination and output for mid-size projects
- Experience working in affordable housing or publicly-bid projects in Massachusetts.
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of current construction practices and ability to identify deviations from construction documents and/or approved submittals
- Clear communication skills, both verbal and written
- Working directly with clients and consultants to manage overall project performance
- Overseeing the production of clear and effective construction documents
Technical / Software skills:
- Ability to use Revit as a Project Architect / Manager in an office setting - 3 years minimum experience
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- Familiarity with the Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft 365
