This position allows for a flexible and remote work setting. While the majority of your work will be conducted from a home office, you will have access to virtual meetings with colleagues and other healthcare professionals. We leverage technology, including platforms such as AVATAR, to maintain efficient records and streamline communication.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and clinical assessments to gather comprehensive client histories, documenting progress from initial consultation through termination of treatment.

  • Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health, identifying strengths and challenges to inform treatment goals.
  • \n

  • Design and implement customized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • \n

  • Facilitate engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions, using therapeutic techniques that resonate with clients.
  • \n

  • Monitor and document client progress regularly to assess treatment efficacy and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
  • \n

  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals, to develop holistic intervention strategies.
  • \n

  • Follow up with healthcare providers for clients who may need additional support, such as hospital admissions, to ensure seamless transitions in care.
  • \n

  • Identify and address any behaviors that may hinder the recovery process, providing education and support to clients and their families.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Massachusetts.
  • \n

  • A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

  • Strong proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or equivalent platforms.
  • \n

  • Demonstrated ability to work with clients experiencing various mental health conditions, including those with co-occurring disorders or substance abuse issues.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Previous experience in a clinical counseling environment, ideally with a focus on outpatient care and group therapy settings.

  • Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and current therapeutic methodologies.

  • A deep understanding of the psychological impacts of medication prescribed by healthcare professionals and the ability to communicate these to clients effectively.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to build rapport quickly with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, reflecting the experience and credentials of the selected candidate.
