Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct initial consultations and comprehensive mental health evaluations to identify clients’ needs accurately.

  • Document and monitor clients' cases from assessment through to treatment completion, ensuring thorough record-keeping.
  • \n

  • Develop personalized intervention strategies and recovery plans tailored to the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • \n

  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities that best fit the clients’ needs.
  • \n

  • Assess and track clients' progress towards their therapeutic goals, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as required.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, and other specialists, to provide comprehensive care.
  • \n

  • Follow up with external healthcare providers when clients require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care during transitions.
  • \n

  • Educate and assist family members and primary caregivers in managing mental health challenges, providing strategies to support their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.
  • \n

  • A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
  • \n

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on creating rapport with clients.
  • \n

  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills to manage client cases effectively.
  • \n

Preferred Experience\n

  • Prior experience working as a mental health counselor or in a related mental health field.

  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to maintain accurate client information.

  • Experience with addiction disorders and an understanding of co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions.

  • Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

  • In-depth knowledge of psychopharmacology and the impact of prescribed medications on mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n
