Job Description

Job DescriptionStep into a purpose-filled role as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Long-Term Care, where every shift offers the chance to touch lives, ease discomfort, and support residents through meaningful moments. In Rutland, Vermont, a welcoming community rests at the heart of a region renowned for its friendly neighborhoods and gorgeous seasons. This multi-week assignment begins on 11/10/2025, offering a consistent 40-hour workweek with competitive weekly pay ranging from $1,766 to $1,859. You’ll join a dedicated care team that values hands-on nursing judgment, compassionate presence, and the quiet strength that comes from serving one of our most vulnerable populations. Imagine applying your practical expertise to promote comfort, safety, and quality of life for residents who deserve dignity at every step of their aging journey.

Rutland sits in central Vermont, where small-town charm meets easy access to outdoor adventure. The city’s welcoming pace supports thoughtful, patient-centered care, while the surrounding mountains, lakes, and green spaces invite staff to recharge after meaningful days with residents. Vermont’s natural beauty—seasonal colors in autumn, pristine trails in summer, and serene winter landscapes—offers a backdrop that can refresh energy and focus. The opportunity to work in Rutland also opens pathways to be deployed to other locations across the United States, providing variety and broadening your professional horizons while maintaining the stability of a guaranteed 40-hour week and reliable pay. Whether you choose to stay local or explore a few different locales, you’ll experience communities with strong healthcare networks and a shared commitment to quality resident care.

In the Long-Term Care setting, your role as an LPN centers on skilled, compassionate nursing that supports residents’ daily living and medical needs. You will perform accurate assessments, monitor changes in condition, administer medications, execute wound care, manage catheter and infusion protocols as appropriate, and assist with activities of daily living to promote independence. You’ll reinforce care plans developed with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams, ensuring timely documentation, meticulous infection control, and clear communication with families. Your day may include leading rounds, coordinating with therapy services, and providing education to residents and their loved ones. The position offers a clear path for professional growth within long-term care, including opportunities to deepen expertise in geriatric pharmacology, palliative care principles, wound management, and care coordination. With the potential for extended assignments and cross-setting experiences, you can cultivate leadership as a preceptor, mentor, or care-coordination champion, strengthening your credentials for advanced practice or management roles as you continue to grow.

The benefits reflect a comprehensive, supportive approach to travel nursing in LTC. Beyond competitive compensation with a weekly range of $1,766–$1,859, you’ll find housing assistance to ease transition and relocation logistics, reducing the friction of moving between assignments. We recognize the value of stability, so extension opportunities are a built-in feature—meaning you can extend a successful placement to maintain continuity of care for residents and continuity in your career development. A sign-on bonus and additional incentives may be available, designed to reward your commitment to quality patient care and professional growth. Throughout your travel, you’ll have access to robust support from a dedicated team, 24/7, ensuring you’re never navigating challenging days alone. This level of continuous support helps you focus on clinical excellence and resident comfort, knowing help is just a call away at any hour.

Our company values people who care deeply about empowering their staff. We are committed to providing a nurturing environment that prioritizes ongoing education, career advancement, and the resources you need to succeed. You’ll have access to continuing education opportunities, mentorship from experienced LTC professionals, and a collaborative culture that recognizes your contributions. We believe in honoring your expertise while encouraging you to expand your scope through structured growth paths, leadership development, and the ability to tailor your assignments to your evolving interests and strengths. Your professional journey matters here, and your well‑being is supported as you build a lasting, impactful career in geriatric care.

If you’re ready to apply your nursing skills in a setting that values compassion, resilience, and professional growth, this is your invitation. Join a company that respects your expertise, supports your development, and offers meaningful assignments in Long-Term Care where every resident’s dignity is honored. Take the next step toward a rewarding chapter in Rutland, Vermont, with a team that stands beside you—today, tomorrow, and beyond. Apply now to begin a collaboration that aligns your clinical skill with a purpose-driven vocation and a lifestyle that embraces the best of New England hospitality and natural beauty.

Please note: The hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
