Job Description

Job Description

At The Therapy People, we provide genuine support for a more balanced life to our clients. Located in the historic Frank Pierce Carpenter House, our practice provides a warm, creative, and welcoming space designed with the intention of having both the client and clinician feel at ease.

Our group practice takes a holistic, person-centered approach to mental health, serving adolescents and adults across New Hampshire and Massachusetts. We value compassionate, evidence-based care while deeply honoring creative, integrative modalities; including expressive arts therapy, mindfulness, narrative, IFS, EMDR and play therapy to support the emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being of those who seek services from us.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LCMHC, LMHC, LICSW, LMFT or PsyD / Licensed Psychologists) licensed in New Hampshire (additional licensure is a plus but not required).

Whether you specialize in working with adolescents, adults, or another population, we welcome clinicians who are passionate about supporting individuals through:

  • Anxiety, Depression, and Mood Disorders
  • Neurodiversity, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Trauma, Post-Traumatic Growth
  • Grief & Loss
  • Identity Exploration & Gender Affirming Care
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Key Qualifications:

  • Active independent clinical license in New Hampshire (e.g., LCMHC, LICSW, LMFT, or PsyD)
  • Experience or strong interest in person-centered, holistic, or integrative modalities
  • A commitment to providing inclusive, culturally humble, and affirmative care.
  • Ability to work independently while enjoying a supportive, collaborative small-practice culture
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Must have your own malpractice insurance

Duties:

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation done within a timely manner (all session notes to be completed within 48 hours of a session, 24 hours within a session that safety or crisis planning was conducted)
  • Engage in case management activities that may arise for your client.
  • Conduct initial mental health assessments and on-going treatment planning.
  • Be up to date on all continuing education requirements for the license(s) you hold.

Why Join The Therapy People?

Are you a licensed clinician looking to generate additional income, maintain a small caseload of 5–10 (or more) clients per week, or ease back into the workforce after time away to raise a family? We may have the perfect opportunity for you!

We are a clinician first, as this group practice is owned and operated by therapists who have worked in a plethora of mental health settings, taking from our experiences on what works well in a therapeutic environment. We care deeply about preventing burn-out and office culture where clinicians feel valued, respected, and supported in doing their best work.

  • Flexible Scheduling. You set your own clinical hours and caseload (part-time or full time, must see a minimum of 5 clients a week)
  • Beautiful Work Environment: The office space is fully furnished and equipped with supplies. You have the option to either practice in our historic, light-filled office space on the less busy end of Elm St. in Manchester or offer telehealth from the confines of your own space.
  • Warm Team Culture: Access to clinical consultation, peer support, and a collaborative environment without rigid corporate bureaucracy.
  • Administrative Support: We handle billing, credentialling, marketing, and intake inquiry so you can focus on clinical care.
  • Competitive Compensation: We utilized a percentage basis per session of 60% of the clinical hour to the clinician.
