Part-Time Home Behavior Therapist
Location: Family Services (Home-Based) | Grafton, MA
Employment Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Hours: M, W, Th, F 3:30-6:30PM in the town of Grafton
Reports To: Elevate Behavior Analyst(s) and Practice Manager
Pay Range: $25–$30 per hour

Position Summary
The Part-Time Home Behavior Therapist provides direct, one-to-one instruction to clients in their therapeutic settings using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Under the supervision of Elevate Behavior Analyst(s) and the Practice Manager, this role supports clients and families in achieving goals outlined in individualized Treatment Plans.
Behavior Therapists are trained to support multiple clients and are responsible for high-quality service delivery, accurate documentation, and collaboration with clinical leadership to ensure effective, family-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Instructional Services
- Provide one-to-one instruction to clients in accordance with individualized program designs.
- Implement instructional programs and behavior management procedures aligned with:
- Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Reinforcement systems
- Client-specific management guidelines
- Deliver generalization sessions across therapeutic environments, including in-home and community settings.
- Provide parent and family training, coaching, and feedback as directed by clinical supervisors.
- Collect, record, and submit program data, behavior data, and session documentation accurately and on time.
- Complete all required end-of-session responsibilities per protocol.
Professional & Operational Responsibilities
- Ensure the supervision and safety of assigned clients at all times.
- Complete all required training, including CALM or Safety-Care certification and ongoing refreshers.
- Verify appointments and follow scheduling protocols.
- Reschedule and make up unfulfilled sessions within 30 days, as required.
- Complete administrative responsibilities and documentation under the direction of the Practice Manager.
- Follow all policies outlined in the Crossroads Continuum Employee Handbook and Elevate Parent Handbook.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and FERPA regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
Communication & Collaboration
- Follow lines of communication outlined in the Organizational Chart.
- Share relevant information with supervisors promptly.
- Communicate client or parent concerns immediately to clinical leadership.
- Ask questions when clarification or guidance is needed.
- Accept feedback professionally and apply it to practice.
- Check and respond to email daily.
Attendance, Participation & Timeliness
- Demonstrate punctuality and reliable attendance.
- Notify the Practice Manager promptly of any scheduling conflicts.
- Meet assigned deadlines and service commitments consistently.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or GED required with 1 year of related verified experience in human services OR Associate's Degree in Human Services field and 6 months of verifiable experience OR Active Registered Behavior Therapist with 3 months of verifiable experience.
- Must be 21 years of age+.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with children with autism or related developmental disabilities preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience with ABA principles required (training provided as needed).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in home and community settings.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, Dropbox).
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional.
- Ability to physically engage with clients as required.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Access to a computer/device with reliable internet.
- Ability to pass a CORI background check.
Physical Requirements
This position is based in home and community environments and requires the ability to:
- Move quickly and confidently to intervene when protective movements are necessary.
- Pursue a bolting client when required to ensure safety.
- Successfully complete and maintain CALM or Safety-Care training.
- Engage in physical activity as needed, including running, squatting, lifting, prompting, and physical management.
- Provide hands-on support while maintaining safety, dignity, and professionalism.
