Behavior Interventionist

Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Behavior Interventionist to support students in a school setting in Burlington, Vermont. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with students and helping them develop positive behaviors, social skills, and greater independence.
Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small-group behavioral support to students
Implement behavior intervention and support strategies developed by the educational team
Assist students with emotional regulation, social skills, and classroom participation
Monitor and document student behaviors and progress
Provide redirection and positive reinforcement when appropriate
Support students during classroom activities, transitions, and daily routines
Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
Follow individualized behavior and educational plans
Qualifications
Previous experience working with children or students with behavioral or special needs preferred
Experience with ABA, behavior intervention, or special education is a plus
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Patient, dependable, and adaptable
Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
