Key Responsibilities\n

- Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and preliminary interviews to gauge client's mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting findings meticulously from initial consultation through treatment completion.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage client participation and promote recovery.
- Monitor and assess client progress throughout the treatment process, making necessary adjustments to intervention plans based on observed outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, physicians, and other mental health professionals to design effective intervention strategies and ensure comprehensive care.
- Follow up on referrals and maintain communication with outside healthcare providers concerning client care plans and progress.
- Identify potential barriers to recovery, providing proactive support and strategies to mitigate relapse and enhance treatment success.
- Support families and primary caregivers in managing the challenges associated with mental and behavioral health conditions, equipping them with resources and skills to aid in the recovery process.

Qualifications\n

- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
- Current, active licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.
- A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
- Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, preferably with familiarity in AVATAR or similar platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective client interaction and documentation.
- Exemplary interpersonal skills with a genuine ability to empathize with clients and foster trusting relationships.

Preferred Experience\n

- Prior experience as a mental health counselor in a telehealth setting is preferred, demonstrating adaptability to virtual therapeutic practices.
- Experience working with clients facing co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.
- Knowledge of resources and treatment modalities specific to recovery from substance use and other behavioral health issues.
- Familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
- In-depth understanding of psychopharmacology and the effects of psychotropic medications, allowing for integrated client care.
