Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Duration: 13 Weeks (with possibility of extension)
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 36 hours/week | Rotating days | Every other weekend

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions. The ideal candidate will be experienced in ventilator management, emergency response, and delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
  • Manage ventilators and provide advanced airway support, including intubation assistance and tracheostomy care
  • Administer oxygen therapy, inhaled medications, and other respiratory treatments
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases (ABGs), spirometry, and capnography
  • Respond to emergency situations including Code Blue and Rapid Response Team (RRT) calls
  • Monitor patients during intra-hospital transport
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification
  • Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapy License
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of critical care experience
  • Experience in acute care or hospital settings

  • Strong clinical knowledge in respiratory care and ventilator management
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
