Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a dedicated 1:1 Paraprofessional to support a student in a Life Skills classroom within a high school setting located near Holyoke, MA. This full-time, contract role runs through the current school year, providing essential individualized assistance to support a students academic and daily living activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support in a Life Skills classroom for a Very Significant Autism (VSA) student
- Assist with toileting and diapering needs while maintaining dignity and safety
- Offer hand-over-hand guidance during meals, academic tasks, and daily activities
- Escort the student safely to and from the nurses office as needed
- Foster a safe, engaging environment throughout the school day
- Collaborate with staff and, when applicable, support communication with family members (bilingual Spanish speakers preferred)
Qualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required, plus one of the following:
- Associates degree, OR
- At least 48 college credits, OR
- Successful completion of a formal assessment such as the ParaPro or WorkKeys test
- Experience working as a paraprofessional within school settings highly preferred
- Bilingual Spanish candidates are strongly preferred to support family engagement, though not required
- Ability to maintain reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Successful completion of drug screening, fingerprinting, and background checks is mandatory
Location & Schedule:
- Location: Near Holyoke, MA at a high school serving diverse student needs
- Hours: Full time, Monday through Friday, approximately 7:15 AM to 3:10 PM
- Contract Duration: Through end of current school year (CSY)
