Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time special education teacher opportunity is available for candidates with experience across K-12 grade levels, including elementary, middle, and high school settings. This contract position is based in North Adams, MA, and runs from ASAP through the end of the current school year. Applicants with a caseload spanning any grade from Kindergarten through 12th grade are encouraged to apply. Both part-time and full-time candidates will be considered to meet diverse classroom needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students learning requirements.
• Adapt instructional materials and teaching methods to support students in grades K-12.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.
• Communicate regularly with families and team members to foster student success.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in special education.
• Experience working with students across multiple grade levels, especially grades 1-12.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for a variety of learning styles and abilities.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
