Bring your passion for student development to a dynamic high school setting as a full-time Occupational Therapist for the upcoming academic year! This role offers a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students, supporting their growth and helping them overcome challenges to succeed in the classroom and beyond. The contract spans from August 27, 2026, to June 16, 2027, with school hours from 7:30am to 3:00pm, providing a consistent and fulfilling schedule.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Experience working in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong understanding of adolescent developmental and educational needs
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of around 40 high school students
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Deliver direct therapy and consultative services to students, collaborating with teachers, counselors, and families
- Support students in achieving IEP goals, enhancing participation in academic and daily activities
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with special education requirements
- Engage in team meetings and professional development as needed
- Offer guidance and resources to educational staff to promote the success of students with varying needs
