Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Front Desk Coordinator to join our team in Mattapan, Massachusetts. As the first point of contact for visitors, this role requires excellent communication skills and a welcoming demeanor. This is a contract position in the education industry, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys engaging with students, parents, and staff.
Responsibilities:
• Greet visitors warmly and assist them with inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff.
• Provide support to students and parents through in-person engagement, addressing their needs and concerns.
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail efficiently, ensuring timely distribution.
• Record and update student absences accurately in the system.
• Maintain organization of files and documents to support administrative operations.
• Operate and answer a multi-line phone system, directing calls appropriately.
• Perform data entry tasks with precision to ensure accurate records.
• Assist in filling administrative gaps as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Outlook, and Word, for various administrative tasks.• Proficiency in Spanish and Haitian Creole to effectively communicate with diverse individuals.
• Prior experience in administrative assistance, showcasing strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and the ability to manage calls professionally.
• Exceptional customer service skills, demonstrating a friendly and approachable attitude.
• Competence in data entry with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word for administrative tasks.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and adapt to dynamic environments.
