Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting opportunity awaits a dedicated LPN or RN to provide 1:1 nursing services in a school-based environment near Boston, MA. This contract role is designed to support a male out-of-district student throughout the remainder of the 25/26 academic year, including the summer term, with anticipation of ongoing need through the fall and potentially beyond into the following year.
In this position, you will work approximately 40 hours per week, offering essential nursing support both during the school day and while accompanying the student on transportation. The fall semester concludes on 12/23/26, with potential for additional dates as needed. You’ll make a meaningful difference in a student's educational journey, collaborating closely with school staff while providing vital one-on-one health care.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid, active Massachusetts LPN or RN nursing certificate (required)
- Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Ability to provide compassionate, comprehensive care to students with unique health needs
- Strong communication and documentation skills for working with education teams and families
- Adaptability for supporting students through daily transitions, including transportation
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 nursing care to a specific student throughout the school day and during transport
- Monitor medical conditions and administer medication or treatments as prescribed
- Communicate promptly with school personnel and the student’s family regarding care needs
- Maintain accurate health records and adhere to confidentiality standards
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide proactive health management as needed
