Role Description The Front Desk Associate/Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Haverhill, MA. This position is responsible for greeting patients, managing check-in and check-out processes, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and verifying patient information and insurance details. The role includes assisting clinical staff with basic pre-testing procedures, preparing exam rooms, and updating electronic records as directed. The Front Desk Associate/Technician helps maintain a smooth patient flow, supports the optometrists and opticians, and ensures a professional, friendly experience for every visitor. This role also involves handling payments, explaining office policies, and coordinating with team members to address patient questions and needs.\n

- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming and professional patient experience.
- Effective communication abilities, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening.
- Professional phone etiquette and experience with receptionist duties such as scheduling and patient check-in/out.
- Computer literacy, including comfort with electronic health records, appointment scheduling systems, and basic office software.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented clinical environment and respond calmly in a fast-paced setting.
- Prior experience in a medical, optometry, or healthcare front desk or technician role is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in medical office administration or ophthalmic assisting is a plus.
