Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching Certification (required)
- Experience in middle school educational settings preferred
- Background working with substantially separate classrooms or similar special education environments
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to effectively adapt curriculum and instructional methods to individual student needs
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to students within a substantially separate classroom
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Partner with families, related service providers, and other educators to support student success
- Manage classroom routines and provide behavioral supports that foster a positive learning atmosphere
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
