Make an impact supporting preschool students as a paraprofessional in a contract role based near Salem, NH. This rewarding part-time position involves working with a preschool student who participates in both intensive needs and general education classroom settings. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday, 8:30AM-2:50PM, totaling 26 hours per week, with an immediate start through June 17, 2026.
Key Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting, with behavioral-based support background
- ABA training or relevant hands-on experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Comfort in working with special education (SPED) populations, showing adaptability and compassion
- Flexibility to adjust to classroom or student placement changes as needed
- High school diploma required
- Reliable transportation is necessary
- Must secure at least one completed reference before moving forward
- Successful completion of district fingerprints and onboarding process
- Willingness to participate in a Zoom interview as part of hiring steps
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to a preschool student in both intensive needs and general education classroom environments
- Assist with implementing individualized behavior and learning plans
- Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to promote a positive, inclusive classroom
- Adapt to classroom rearrangements or schedule changes to best meet student needs
- Assist with general duties to maintain a safe and supportive learning atmosphere
