Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a full-time Special Education Teacher specializing in elementary education, serving students in grades 1st and 2nd. This position focuses on a self-contained classroom designed to support students with Emotional Disabilities. The role begins as soon as possible and extends through the remainder of the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with emotional disabilities.
  • Create a supportive, structured classroom environment that promotes social-emotional learning and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including counselors, therapists, and general education teachers.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Maintain clear communication with families and caregivers to support student development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Special Education.
  • Experience teaching elementary grades, particularly 1st and 2nd.
  • Strong skills in managing classrooms with emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Ability to use various instructional methods to engage students with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Schedule: Full-time, Contract position for the current school year
