Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity seeks a skilled Behavior Specialist or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support early learners within elementary school settings, focusing primarily on preschool and kindergarten classrooms serving children aged 3 to 6 years. The position is based in Somerville, MA, within a diverse and inclusive school community dedicated to fostering the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth of every student. The program also includes working with community partners and an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) program.

Key Qualifications:

  • Massachusetts BCBA license required
  • Experience working with young children, especially within preschool and kindergarten environments
  • Expertise in behavioral interventions and positive behavior support strategies
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, families, and community partners
  • Familiarity with Autism Spectrum Disorder programs and supports

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans tailored to each childs needs
  • Conduct assessments and progress evaluations to inform instructional strategies and supports
  • Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to promote optimal learning and development
  • Provide training and guidance to school personnel on behavior strategies and data collection
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies

Position Details:

  • Location: Somerville, MA
  • Work Hours: Full-time, approximately 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, 35 hours per week
  • Duration: Contract through June, starting ASAP
  • Caseload: Children aged 3 to 6 in preschool and kindergarten classrooms
  • Number of Openings: 1
  • Grade Level: Elementary
